5 English Tenses and the Exercises

1. SIMPLE DIVISION TENSE

· Digunakan untuk stated kebiasaan tindakan atau rutinitis dan fakta-fakta umum.

· Rumus.

(+) S + V1 (sess)

(-) S + do/does + tidak + V1

(?) Do/does + S + V1

         
  Example :
            1. They're going off the wedding with a partner (-) They don't go to the wedding with a partner.
                 (?) Are they gone in a wedding ceremony with a partner?
            2. I go to soccer practice.
                  (-) the don't go to soccer practice.
                  (?) Do I go to soccer practice?

2..  SIMPLE  PAST  TENSE
·         Digunakan untuk menyatakan kalimat yang terjadi masa lampau.
·         Rumus :
(+) S + V2
(-)  S + did + not + V1
(?)  did + S + V1
Example :

1. They went to the wedding ceremony with a partner.
(-) They don't go to the wedding with a partner.
(?) Are they gone to the wedding with your partner?

3..  PRESENT/PAST CONTINUOS TENSE
·         Digunakan untuk menyatakan kejadian yang sedang berlangsung.
·         Rumus :
(+) S + be + Ving
(-)  S + be + not + Ving
(?)  Be + S + Ving

For example :
(+) The water's flowing.
(-) the water was not running.
(?) Is it flowing?

4.SIMPLE  FUTURE TENSE
·         Digunakan untuk mengekspresikan kejadian yang belum terjadi, masih direncanakan atau kejadian di masa yang akan datang.
·         Rumus :
(+) S + will + V1
(-)  S + will + not +V1
(?) Will + S + V1
 
   Example :
1. Andi on vacation in Singapore on December 21.
(-), Andi were on vacation in Singapore on December 21.
(?) Is Andi were on vacation in Singapore?
2. Boy's getting married in 2017.
(-) boy will not be married in 2017.
(?) Is boy get married in 2017?

5.PRESENT PERFECT TENSE
·         Digunakan untuk menyatakan kejadian yang sudah terjadi dan hasilnya masih terasa atau terlihat.
·         Rumus  :
(+) S + has/have + V3
(-)  S + has/have + not + V3
(?)  Has/have + S + V3

For example :
(+) I like watching TV.
(-) I don't like watching TV.
(?) Do I like to watch TV?
